D'addario XL Jazz Strings are a subset of the XL strings from D'addario. They are designed for Jazz and feature a wound 3rd G string. This set is also very good for drop tuning, because of its greater resonance due to their heavy gauge. The EJ20 is the lightest set, at 10 it still feels like you are playing a lighter string. The EJ21 is the medium of the three and the most popular of the Jazz set, a lot of people use this set to down tune because of its aggressive bright tone. The EJ22 is the heaviest, with its heavy 13 gauge these will give you a dense bright sound that will be very distinctive on stage.
