D'addario Half Round Bass Strings 

D'addario Half Round Bass Strings are wrapped with pure nickel. Then, the string is partly ground to leave the outer surface smooth and semi-flat. This allows the string to retain its flexibility, bright warm tone but takes away finger noise. These semi flat wound strings are also good on your picking fingers, with less friction that a regular round wound string has on your fingers.

When you play the Half Rounds, the first thing you'll notice the silk feel that creates very little finger noise. So, you can dial in from really woody tones to bright clear crisp highs while keeping the warm fundamentals that the nickel is known for. This is achieved by a proprietary process of heat treating that ensures the strings keep their round wound tone on a half rounded string.
